synopsis
Tom Mix once again played a foppish tenderfoot in this early Fox Western-comedy, which he also wrote and directed. "Anything Once" Atkinson (Mix) is shipped off to Calm City, Arizona, to toughen up. He quickly falls for the superintendent's lovely daughter (Eva Novak, but he finds a rival in the local dispatcher (Lee Shumway). The girl's father (Charles K. French), meanwhile, is in danger of losing his job because of a series of robberies committed by the mysterious Black Donlin gang. Atkinson grabs the chance to prove himself worthy of the girl's love by bringing the gang to justice. He manages that feat by donning the disguise of a bandit, thereby gaining the bandit leader's (Sid Jordan) confidence.
