Acclaimed conductor Daniel Barenboim leads the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra in sweeping renditions of compositions by Beethoven, Bottesini, Brahms, and Wagner in this release of a performance originally staged at the Waldbühne, Berlin in June of 2006. Double bass player Nabil Shehata and cellist Kyril Zlotnikov lend their considerable talents to a performance showcasing Beethoven's "Leonore Overture No. 3", Bottesini's "Fantasia", Brahms' "Symphony No. 1", and Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde: Vorspiel und Liebstod".
