The classical concert in this performance release took place at the Berlin Philharmonie on November 15, 2012, and was mounted to commemorate the 70th birthday of maestro Daniel Barenboim. In it, Barenboim leads the Staatskapelle Berlin symphony with guest participation by conductor Zubin Mehta. The program includes Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor, Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 in B Flat Minor, and Dialogues II, a special composition written for the Barenboim celebration by Elliott Carter.
