Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
A science-fiction story set in 1998 -- at this time, still 17 years away -- has the Polish environment an ecological disaster, polluted so badly that one is in danger just by breathing the air. The hero, Jan (Michael Juszczakiewicz) is a television repairman in love with the ballerina Ewa (Hanna Dunowska), but sadly, his feelings are not reciprocated. Ewa is more interested in Allan (Marek Barbasiewicz), a yuppie go-getter that could easily leave Jan in his dust. An older woman tries to get Jan interested in her charms, but the television repairman will have none of it, slipping into an increasingly unhappy state as Ewa seems to be more out of his reach than ever.
