Synopsis by Clarke Fountain

Cyprus is an island which was historically entirely ethnically Greek. During the Ottoman Empire, it was invaded and settled by Turks. In the 1970s, the two ethnic groups comprising the population moved, so that they occupied two different halves of the island, which has since remained uneasily at peace as a divided country. This 1976 documentary traces these events, going back to the time of the British occupation of the island.
