Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

A disgraced ex-cop with a bleak future seeks redemption by agreeing to protect a politician's daughter from a malevolent stalker in this moody, monochromatic thriller from multihyphenate Dan Eberle. Bill Ivers (Eberle) is a former NYPD detective and convicted felon whose hard life is going nowhere fast. From his hard-drinking to his frequent nosebleeds, Ivers appears to be on the path to an early grave when his politically savvy former colleague Gunther (Beau Allulli) comes knocking on his door. He's there on behalf of City Councilman John Lord (James Alba), whose attempts to atone for his past sins have led him to the man who protected him years prior. Twenty years ago, Lord had an extramarital affair that led to the birth of a daughter named Jessica. Although estranged from his illegitimate daughter, Lord has learned that Jessica recently filed a police report stating that she was the victim of a stalker. Knowing that the police are powerless to protect Jessica (Jillaine Gill), Lord recruits Ivers to ensure her safety, thus laying the groundwork for a relationship with the father she's never known. Meanwhile, Ivers sees the job as an opportunity to atone for his past misdeeds before his time runs out.
