A look at the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, when the U.S. and USSR squared off over secret Soviet missile bases in Cuba. The documentary details the actions of President John F. Kennedy, Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev, and Cuba's Fidel Castro during the 13-day stalemate. Included: remarks from Sergei Khrushchev, the son of the former Soviet premier; former Kennedy adviser Ted Sorensen; former CIA and KGB agents; and Naval reconnaissance pilot Jerry Coffee, who took the photos of the missile bases.
