Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This program picture has a faith healer as its lead character. Richard Gormley (Vandyke Brooks) is also a prison welfare worker who believes in the softer, gentler way to reform crooks. Opposing this view is Bill Billings (Augustus Phillips), chief of the detective bureau. Billings deals with crooks by the use of intimidation and a tough attitude. Gormley believes that Billings will come to regret his behavior. Billings' adopted son, Buddy (Edward Langford), is also a detective and he tracks down Otto Fischer, a particularly nasty criminal (William W. Hallman). Fischer astounds Buddy when he tells him that he is his birth father. Buddy is so devastated by the news that it begins to drive him mad. Gormley saves Buddy through faith healing, and Fischer is forced to admit that it is Gormley who is actually Buddy's father by birth. Many years before, Fischer had kidnapped Buddy from Gormley, who sent him to prison for a jewel theft.
