Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Later a busy supporting player often cast as Irish cops, veteran screen actor Joe King earned a rare starring role in this low-budget melodrama from small-scale Playgoers Pictures. King portrayed Richard Wayne, a Secret Service agent coming to the aid of a destitute girl (Marian Swayne), whose weakling brother (Alexander Giglio) has amassed a huge gambling debt. A mysterious stranger, Jack Richardson, urges her to marry him and thus resolve the family's increasing financial difficulties. Swayne refuses and with the assistance of the intrepid Mr. Wayne manages to unmask Richardson as the head of a gang of counterfeiters. Like her leading man, Marian Swayne had been in films since the early 1910s, when she played leads for the New Jersey-based Solax company.
