Con Express (2002)
by Buzz McClain review

After a very, very slow start -- two middle aged men in an office discussing politics -- this ambitious B-movie builds up a head of steam as Agent Brooks, played with humble action-hero moves by the doe-eyed Sean Patrick Flanery, tells his story to his two bosses. Once the film gets going, director Terry Cunningham somehow finds it in his modest budget to pile on some impressive action set pieces, including a fiery plane crash, a train-on-train collision, a couple of avalanches sparked by missiles fired from fighter jets, and a woozily gratuitous sex scene with nudity by a cozy fireplace. Smooth Arnold Vosloo, the Mummy from The Mummy, makes a terrific bad guy, and even with very little to do, he's a menacing presence. Yes, there's cheese here, and some judicious editing of the early interrogation scenes would have helped a lot, but that's what your fast-forward button is for.
