Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Alma Taylor was past her prime as an actress when she starred here as the sweetheart of a young man (Ralph Forbes) who is vamped by his discarded former girlfriend (Eileen Dennes). The ex-girlfriend tricks him into marrying her and Taylor (who specialized in playing long-suffering young women) takes care of the child that the couple produces. The young man goes to war and perishes on the battlefield, but before he dies, he makes sure a note gets through to the girl he really loves. It tells her that he will meet her "comin' thro the rye." This feature managed to make it to the States at the end of 1924, but there was not much of an audience for it there -- American filmgoers were used to the more charismatic stars and the glossier productions created on their own side of the Atlantic.
