synopsis
Lt. Hanley (Rick Jason) is fed up with the insubordination of streetwise punk Private Vinnick (Sal Mineo), and with Vinnick's constant ragging of fellow GI Private Burke (Tom Skerritt). Accused by Vinnick of being a coward, the resentful Burke is determined to prove his courage under fire, thus placing everyone else's life in jeopardy. Further complicating the storyline is the fact that one of the two warring privates is wanted for murder in the States!
