Saunders (Vic Morrow) and the squad are ordered to destroy the machinery in a French quarry in order to keep it out of German hands. Witnessing the destruction of his precious tractors, quarry owner Paul Vertain (Fernando Lamas) threatens dire consequences to the Americans. Before long, Saunders' men are being besieged by an unseen sniper--none other than the crazed Vertrain.
