In this caper comedy from cult favorite Lucio Fulci, a bank guard named Paciocchi (Mario Carotenuto) arrives late for work only to find that the vault has been robbed. Worried about his job, Paciocchi takes it upon himself to recover the stolen money, and along with a pair of bumbling thieves, manages to solve the crime. The problem then becomes replacing the money in the vault, which requires another break-in, so Paciocchi hires a professional bank robber to do the job. Like most Italian comedies of the time, the script by Bruno Corbucci and Giovanni Grimaldi relies heavily on farce and Carotenuto's incessant mugging for its limited charms. Co-stars Andrea Checchi, Helene Chanel and Gina Rovere will be familiar to any fan of Italian films, and editor Franco Fraticelli would later become a frequent collaborator of horror icon Dario Argento.
