Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Carter and Flora De Haven, two of the foremost purveyors of the "polite comedy" genre, were the stars of the Universal six-reeler The College Orphan. The title character, played by Flora DeHaven, is Daisy Woods, whose arrival on campus coincides with that of football jock Jack Bennett Jr. (Carter DeHaven). Expelled from campus on a trumped-up charge perpetrated by a jealous rival, Bennett determines to "make good" in the Real World for the benefit of his doting parents. He accomplishes this goal with the help of the adoring Daisy, who also helps to reinstate Bennett's student status in time for Our Hero to participate in the Big Game. Incidentally, the DeHavens were in real life the parents of actress Gloria DeHaven and producer/casting director Carter De Haven Jr..
