Although she has several suitors, Nancy Lovejoy (June Elvidge) doesn't care about any of them. She's more interested in playing sports and chasing potential stepmothers away from her widower father, Colonel Lovejoy (Arthur Donaldson). The Colonel, realizing that perhaps Nancy would get off his case if she met the right guy, sends Jim Wildman (Karl Metcalfe) her way. And Nancy does fall in love with him but plays hard to get. Jim, however, has a good understanding of female nature, and they end up together -- and Nancy does loosen up her possessive grip on her father, which enables him to marry his own sweetheart.
