Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Jim Ransom (Harry C. Browne) is a Western sheriff who saves a man from hanging. His words of advice to the newly-freed criminal are to give his wife -- who was the cause of the crime -- a chance. Years later, Ransom goes East and becomes successful in New York. He gets married to the much younger Dorothy Brainerd (Alice Calhoun), and although he showers her with material goods, he doesn't really have time for her. So Dorothy innocently gets tangled up with Rex Gordon (Bernard Randall), who preys on society folk. When he can't convince Dorothy to run off with him, he decides to rob the Ransom home. Ransom comes home unexpectedly to find Dorothy arguing with Gordon. The ex-sheriff is about to take the law into his own hands, when Gordon's pal turns out to be the one saved from hanging by Ransom's intervention. He reminds Ransom of the advice he gave out all those years ago. This turns things around and saves him from committing murder.
