synopsis
This video is the last volume of a five-part series, produced by PBS and hosted by Bill Moyers, that examines the social problem of drug and alcohol addiction in America. The series follows the efforts of recovering addicts, and the research of scientists, as they look to explain the debilitating effects of addiction. Moyers takes the viewer for an inside look into the political process in Arizona and elsewhere, as lawmakers seek to address a problem that afflicts families and society, as well as the individual addict.
