Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
When an aristocratic young man of noble birth is compelled to look into one of his father's past romantic entanglements, he is led to a Pigalle nightclub where act after act is performed with the intent of splintering bourgeois sexual morés into humorous pieces. These entertainers, as well as an English-speaking woman and her daughter Clementine (named after the heroine in the American folk song?) are characters whose antics paint mainstream morals with a very broad and fuzzy brush.
