A variety of beloved orchestral and operatic works from such popular composers as Bizet, Verdi, and Puccini highlight this open air gala performance captured live at the Semper Oper in Dresden, Germany. Conductor Giuseppe Sinopoli leads the Staatskapelle, Dresden and the Chorus of the Semper Oper, Dresden, with soprano Angela Gheorghiu and tenor Roberto Alagna providing vocal duties. Songs featured in this performance include the "Flower Song" from Bizet's Carmen, "Pace, pace, mio Dio" from Verdi's La forza del destino, and "E lucevan le stelle" from Puccini's Tosca.
