City Confidential: Wilmington details a deadly affair in a scenario that has become eerily familiar. Like many small yet prestigious towns, Wilmington, DE, was full of successful careerists that sought a quiet life. Anne Marie Fahey was one such woman. Her life was only complicated with an occasional bout of depression made worse by her secret affair with a married man. Meanwhile, Thomas Capano was the city's golden boy, having set up shop as an attorney and made millions in the process. His relationship with Fahey was three years old when the trouble started. In June of 1996, Fahey disappeared, and a year later Capano was arrested for her murder. A&E re-creates the year-long investigation through testimony and interviews with detectives. Footage of the sensational trial itself punctuates this tale of jealous rage.
