Known for its eclectic neighborhoods and wellspring of artists, Soho has long been a popular New York spot. But the area also possesses a dark side. A&E explores the trendy destination's underbelly in City Confidential: Soho -- The Art of Murder. Cuban artist Ana Mendieta was just building her reputation for controversial multi-media creations when she fell from the 34th story of a Soho apartment. The neighborhood was further stunned when police brought charges against her husband, sculptor Carl Andre. Suddenly, witnesses came forward with accusations of Andre's wicked temper and its deadly consequences. Despite the obvious clues pointing to the husband's motive, Andre was found not guilty. A&E explores how, in accordance with its reputation for acceptance, Soho recovered from the scandal.
