San Francisco filmmaker Ruby Yang, a Hong Kong native, offers her video impressions of her hometown in the first year following its incorporation into China in 1997. Featured are profiles of five residents (including a teenage migrant from the mainland and a Chinese-Australian woman) as well as Yang's childhood recollections.
