Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
Erik Clauson wrote and directed this politically-tinged comedy and also starred as Charles, a raucous emcee for a traveling act. Leif Sylvester Petersen composed the music and lyrics, and also plays the naive but multi-faceted performer "Ib." Both Clauson and Petersen have teamed up before to create films similar to Cirkus Casablanca in which they, as a pair of entertainers, take on the powers-that-be to defend their show. Meanwhile, the story is liberally sprinkled with barbs aimed at the establishment and its more retrograde traits. This time the duo is joined by Laila (Helen Fastrup), a young 18-year-old who shares in their various misadventures as they tour Denmark.
