Directed by Véra Chytilová

Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
Director Vera Chytilova focuses on her exiled Czech compatriot Milos Forman in this mistitled look at his directorial history and style. Forman is shown at work on Ragtime, and jogging or walking around the streets. He also discusses his passion for filmmaking, his survival skills, and his emphasis on getting the right actor for the right part. Contrary to what the title might suggest, there is no comparison of movie-making in Eastern Europe and in the U.S., no reflections on political or cultural differences, no commentary on the history of Forman's decision to defect to Hollywood, and no comparison to Chytilova's own work and career.
