Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

The proud owner of a popular Compton Christmas-tree lot finds the future of his beloved business in jeopardy when his entrepreneurial son pulls a stunt that could put him out of business. Every year, Big Earl (Keith David) supplies the citizens of Compton with top-quality Christmas trees to brighten their holidays. His son Derrick (Omar Gooding), a budding music producer, works on the lot part-time. But this year, Derrick is determined to prove that he can succeed on his own, and that he doesn't need Big Earl to pull down a paycheck. When Derrick pulls a stunt that puts Big Earl's business in jeopardy, however, his desperate attempts to solve the problem on his own put father and son hopelessly at odds. With Christmas Eve just a few days away and villainous businessman Tommy Maxell (Eric Roberts) preparing to seize the lot, the race is on to save the family business from a hostile takeover. But in order for that to happen, Big Earl and Derrick will first have to put their differences aside, and embrace the true spirit of Christmas.
