synopsis
A widower (Billy Ray Cyrus) tries to ease the racial tension between his young son and a classmate by forcing the two to spend time together. The boys quickly forge a bond while caring for a wounded puppy\, but the tensions in their town aren't so easily resolved. Based on the novel by Kenny Rogers and Donald Davenport.
