Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Experience the highest quality blues in Chicago without the trouble of a trip to the Windy City as two soul-stirring performers take the legendary stage of Buddy Guy's Legends to offer an evening of authentic, heartfelt blues. Renowned for his unique combination of Opelousas Bayou, Texas swing, and Memphis soul, Lonnie Brooks performs some of the most unique Chicago blues around. In this performance staged with sons Ronnie and Wayne, the elder Brooks brings his legendary guitar style to the stage in full force. Upon picking up the harmonica at the tender age of seven, Chicago native Studebaker John had found his calling. Fueled by Maxwell Street corned beef sandwiches and determined to capture the spirit of the blues in his soulful tunes, Studebaker John and the Hawks offer a fantastic night of music that finds the talented collection of bluesmen performing at their very best.
