Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Clara Williams, best remembered as William S. Hart's vis-a-vis in 1916's Hell's Hinges, plays the title role in Carmen of the Klondike. Filmed on location in Alaska (what a gorgeous, unspoiled backdrop!), the story involves the craven activities of claim jumpers. Carmen finds herself torn between good prospector Edward Coxen and nasty usurper Herschell Mayall. A spectacular fight sequence caps this exciting 7-reeler. Carmen of the Klondike was produced independently by a firm calling itself Selexart, which never got any farther than its first effort.
