The musical variety series The Captain and Tennille ran from September 1976 to March 1977 on ABC, and featured the titular performers (keyboardist/arranger Daryl Dragon and his wife, Toni Tennille - best known for their massive hit singles "Love Will Keep Us Together" and "The Way I Want to Touch You") in a variety of comedy sketches and musical performances. The December 20, 1976 episode of this series (issued on video as The Captain and Tennille Christmas Show) offered a special yuletide-themed program with guests including Don Knotts, The Pointer Sisters and Tom Bosley.
