synopsis
A made for TV movie which became the pilot for the popular series about a portly private detective, in this story Cannon goes to a small New Mexico town to investigate the death of a friend, at the behest of his friend's widow. Multiple subplots make this a difficult one to follow, but the personality lines were drawn which made this into one of the most popular PI shows on TV.
