Synopsis by Hal Erickson
During yet another waterfront chase, Tom and Jerry end up on the conveyor belt of a fish cannery (hence the cartoon's Steinbeck-inspired title). The boys briefly find themselves "canned goods" before resuming the chase. Tom's efforts to trap Jerry are stymied by a marauding shark, while Jerry, still stuck in his can, finds running on two feet a near-impossibility. Once these obstacles are overcome, the chase continues (does it ever truly end?)--until a conscience stricken Jerry decides to rescue Tom from a grisly fate.
