Writer and director Friedrike Pezold spent a great deal of time filming scenes in Berlin for this thesis: individuals have very little leeway for personal expression or freedom of living because of their largely pre-programmed environment. Some would say that Pezold, an Austrian filmmaker, is looking for her own reality and using her camera to back it up.
