Two young lads belong to their community's boxing league and are the best of friends. They train together, and relax afterwards together. They often speak of their determination never to be matched against one another, and if matched, not to get overzealous about winning. In this story, however, the long-feared match-up does occur, and one of the boys cannot restrain himself from fighting zealously. In this Bulgarian film, such win-at-all-costs behavior is considered wrong, both by the boys and by their community. Since they are known to have been good friends, the loser is believed by everyone to have "thrown" the fight to give his friend the victory. However, the two boys know better, and their friendship can never be the same as before.
