Two young people find it's easy to fall in love but difficult for others to accept it in this drama. Tom (Mads Ousdal) is a student at a medical college in Norway. Tom shares classes with Samira (Susan Badrkhan), an attractive young woman who was born in Norway but whose parents emigrated from Iraq. During a lab session for one of their courses, an experiment turns dangerous and Tom ends up saving Samira's life; the accident brings the two students together, and Samira's grateful parents invite Tom to their home to thank him for his brave actions. But Tom's girlfriend senses that his new friendship with Samira is actually a prelude to something deeper; feeling betrayed, she breaks up with him. Sure enough, Tom and Samira fall in love, but when Samira's parents discover that Tom is more than just their daughter's classmate, they force her to move out of the house for dating a boy who is not of Iraqi heritage.
