A tour of the town reveals fine architecture, with many outstanding cathedrals and homes. Travelling through the countryside rewards the visitor with lovely vistas of the surrounding mountains. A special side trip is taken to pay homage to the birthplace of the eloquent writer Samuel Johnson.
