synopsis
A perennial attraction at "bad movie" festivals, Bride of the Gorilla stars cult favorite Barbara Payton. Wasting away on the jungle plantation managed by her much-older husband Paul Cavanaugh, Barbara inaugurates a hot-and-heavy romance with plantation foreman Raymond Burr. After Cavanaugh dies under mysterious circumstances, Barbara weds Burr. Little does she know that her new hubby has this bad habit of transforming into a gorilla. Written and directed by Curt Siodmak, Bride of the Gorilla is an unintentional laff riot-and, under the circumstances, surprisingly involving.
