Synopsis by Sandra Brennan

In this Iranian children's movie, based on a hit TV series, a young boy who want to be a poet above all else, gets his wish. 15-year old Majiid adores Hugo's "Les Miserables," but he cannot afford to buy his own copy. He therefore wades through the public library copy. After he becomes tired of trying to read through it in the library, Majiid pulls a switcheroo, exchanging Hugo's classic, for a book belonging to his nasty brother-in-law. Unbeknownst to Majiid, the book he pilfered contained a large check. The family is in an uproar and Majiid goes to the set of a historical movie to find it. After he is invited to read one of his published poems at the exclusive Poet's society on television, the check almost magically appears.
