Synopsis by Mark Deming

John Paul Davidson directed this affecting documentary about a group of gay and transgendered prostitutes struggling to survive on the streets of Brazil. Financed in part by the BBC, The Boys From Brazil was produced by Trudie Styler, whose husband, actor and pop musician Sting, appeared in Davidson's next film, The Grotesque.
