Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Kazuo Kanisha plays the title role, a sensitive Japanese 9-year-old. When told he must wear glasses, Kanisha fears that he'll be subject to the taunts of the rest of his classmates. As it turns out, the only fear Kanisha has is fear itself; his friends are curious and congratulatory, with only a pathetic handful stooping to ridicule. Often listed as a 1972 release, The Boy With Glasses was actually filmed ten years earlier. It was first telecast in the US on CBS Children's Film Festival on May 6, 1972.
