Synopsis by Ryan Shriver

In the not-so-distant future, a totalitarian government wields absolute power over a fearful -- but not completely unrebellious -- populace in director Mark Christensen's 2002 low-budget feature Boxhead Revolution. Young teen Brythle (Jenny Kim) and her boyfriend Gritt (Adam Cooper) run away from home in order to stay together as a couple -- contrary to the wishes of their misunderstanding families. The young lovers contemplate further rebellion by removing the masks they wear as mandated by their government -- an act of ultimate resistance and thus also a criminal act. Fate deals the couple a seemingly devastating blow when they are forced to separate. Shortly afterwards, Gritt encounters the remnants of what looks like an old satellite that has crashed to Earth -- but turns out to be the long-lost space probe Voyager. Opening it up, he finds a container that the local authorities quickly confiscate from him -- setting in motion an unforeseen turn of events that could potentially alter the way of life for everyone on the planet.
