Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Jim Cleeve (Eugene Strong) is a lazy bum, so his sweetheart Joan Randall (Blanche Bates) splits up with him. Jim is wounded by this and he joins a gang called the Border Legion, led by the brutal Jack Kells (Hobart Bosworth). When Joan realizes what their break-up has done to Jim, she goes after him but is captured by Kells. He attacks her in his cabin, and she shoots him. But then, improbably, she nurses him back to health, which softens him. He hides her when the others in the gang arrive, but they soon realize that there's a woman there and they insist that their boss share her. Joan escapes and begs Jim to help get her out of there, and they ride away with the outlaws in close pursuit. Kells is the first one to find them. His better nature comes out once again, and he protects them from the others. He is shot to death, and the couple is saved by a rescue party from a nearby village. This film was adapted from a Zane Grey novel.
