synopsis
"The Smiling Daredevil" of the silent screen, Illinois-born Lester Cuneo starred opposite his wife Francelia Billington in this obscure western produced by Charles P. Mack. A story of perceived miscegenation, Blazing Arrows cast the Italian Stallion as an Indian brave who falls for a pretty settler. There is the usual scorn from the settlement, but the denouement is an obvious cheat: Cuneo was only raised by the Indians but is in reality as white as Miss Billington! The reviewers didn't buy it, however, and the film was quickly forgotten. A former villain in Tom Mix westerns, Cuneo enjoyed a brief vogue as a cowboy lead in the early '20s but committed suicide in 1925 when his career fell into decline
