Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter
This PBS video is the final chapter in a five-part series, hosted by award-winning journalist Bill Moyers, that explores the rich cultural, historical, and religious traditions of the Arab world. In a conversation with political expert Elie Kedourie, Moyers discusses how these traditions influence the politics of the region, and how they affect the relationship of the Arab nations with the Western world. Dispelling some of the commonly held stereotypes about Arabic people, Mr. Kedourie brings greater understanding to the discussion about America's neighbors in the global community.
