Synopsis by Janiss Garza

James Dant (Dustin Farnum) is an avaricious British financier, while his twin brother John (also Farnum) is a happy-go-lucky Bohemian. James has just married June (Kathryn Adams), but for her it's a marriage of convenience only, so she can keep her father out of prison. Since there's money to be made in the States, James decides to sail over the Atlantic, and he asks his brother to temporarily take his place. John's good nature actually helps in James' world, along with winning over June, who believes she is finally seeing the real James. But then James shows up at his own doorstep, after having been given up for dead because of a disaster that overtook his steamship. He might as well have met his fate on the boat because shortly after his reappearance he drops dead, leaving John and June to be together.
