Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Patrice and Molly Busch's documentary Between the Water and the Wood follows the Arizona University swim team during a year in which they are among the favorites to capture the national title in that sport. Although the university has become wee-known for its swimming program, the school has so far failed to capture the championship - a fact this particular group of swimmers wants to rectify. In addition to the athletes, the filmmakers spend a great deal of time with the men and women who have made this swim program one of the most respected in the world.
