synopsis
Maestro Pierre Boulez leads the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for this special concert, held to celebrate the opening of MusikTriennale Koln in 2000. Boulez leads the symphony in a program featuring Lulu Suite by Alban Berg, Igor Stravinsky's The Firebird, and two pieces by Claude Debussy -- Le Jet S'Eau for Soprano and Orchestra (with soloist Christine Schafer) and Three Ballads of Villon.
