synopsis
In the late 1950s and early 1960s, Bell Telephone produced a series of children's educational films for television. These tapes are as entertaining and informative today as they were then. Dr. Frank Baxter, often called Dr. Science, hosts Gateway to the Mind. This animated film takes a look at the amazing mind and the five senses. Viewers discover that grasshoppers can hear with their stomachs, fish can taste with their bodies and learn that things aren't always as they appear to be. Gateway to the Mind features the distinctive animation of Chuck Jones, animator for Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, and was produced by Jack Warner.
