Synopsis by Mark Deming

A tragic incident in the past haunts the future of a handful of young men in this drama from Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Gerber Bicecci. When they were children, Andrés, Felipe, and José were three friends living in poor community on the outskirts of Mexico City. One morning, Jose's father found the dead body of an infant and its mother, and the circumstances behind the death became the subject of much speculation in the community. Years later, Andrés (Roberto Mares) is an amateur historian who lives with his ailing father, who has a severe drinking problem. Felipe works in a coffee shop, and Jose helps out his father, who runs an ice plant. While all three are struggling to make lives for themselves in a place stuck in poverty, they're all haunted by the death they witnessed as children and a number of unanswered questions rise to the surface as the community observes an annual religious festival. Vaho (aka Becloud) was an official selection at the 2010 Rotterdamn International Film Festival.
