Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This drama was based on the novel The Money Maker by Irving R. Allen. David Powers (Harry T. Morey) collects graft for a ward politician. He becomes involved with a cabaret singer, Hebe Norse (Betty Blythe). When things get too hot for him, Powers leaves town and Hebe goes with him. Powers winds up living in another state and going straight. He becomes a business partner of Rogers, a steel manufacturer, and falls in love with his daughter, Rosalie (Jean Paige). They get married and start a family. Everything is going smoothly until the day Rogers brings home a new wife -- Hebe. Smith knows that Hebe's motives are less than pure, but he also knows the trouble it will cause if she is revealed as his former mistress. He allows the truth to come out and both Rogers and Rosalie break away from him. Rogers tries to ruin a company belonging to Powers, but Powers keeps it from sinking. Rosalie eventually returns and the couple make up.
